Pi & Its Importance

Pi (π) is the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter.
Pi is easy to observe, but hard to compute accurately by hand.

Example for measuring the Pi
From above figure, Take a circle whose diameter is 1. If you roll it until you get back to the start, it will measure out Pi units.

Importance of Pi :

  • It figures in a lot of different ways,It holds true every time.
Example : Helps in finding measurement, area,Etc.

  • Anything with curvature has Pi, A straight line does not have Pi.
Example : Constructions of roads, train tracks, bridge tunnels,Etc.

  • If you drive through a smooth surface, creating a wave with the car, that involves Pi .
      Example : F1 Race tracks
  • If you see a tornado, that definitely involves Pi.
